As 7-Zark-7 checks on the progress of a new top secret Federation underwater construction project on a planet in Galaxy 30, it is attacked by a gigantic sea anemone. 7-Zark-7 contacts G-Force and dispatches them to the new base to see what’s going on. G-Force arrive at the planet and take the Phoenix underwater where they almost immediately find the giant sea anemone. It fires at them but Tiny avoids the blasts. They lay down a smokescreen and manage to escape to the surface.
Later, while the team rests, Keyop strikes off in his vehicle to find the sea anemone and prove his worth to the team. But while he’s looking for the monster, it finds him just as he arrives at the Federation’s secret base. The anemone grabs Keyop’s craft and pulls it inside. Zoltar thanks Keyop for leading him to the base and moves the anemone into attack position telling Keyop he’ll have the special treat of watching them destroy the base.
Keyop contacts G-Force so they can evacuate the base. Jason uses the opportunity to get a fix on Keyop’s location and they rush to help him. But Zoltar gets to the base before the Phoenix arrives and he is able to obliterate it with the sea anemone’s weapons.
Mark launches a missile at the anemone, but instead of destroying it the missile only destroys the anemone's weapons. The blast has also opens a hatch, allowing G-Force to invade. Their attack surprises Zoltar and his men and Jason frees Keyop’s vehicle. Zoltar disappears into a secret door in the wall just as Mark thinks he has him cornered. G-Force returns to the Phoenix and escape as the Anemone floods with water and falls from an undersea cliff. Zoltar gets away in a small escape craft.
Keyop confesses the destruction of the Federation’s base was his fault, since he was only thinking about himself and not the team. But 7-Zark-7 confuses everyone by congratulating them instead. 7-Zark-7 explains that construction on their secret base has been completed and the base Spectra destroyed was only a decoy. G-Force is free to come home after another successful mission.

The Spectra monster appeared to put a kink into Federation plans to build an underwater base. The monster was mobile, able to get around both by using a hopping motion and with a rocket engine in its base. It appeared to only be operational underwater. It was able to fire beams from its tentacles. It could also use the tentacles to grab hold of objects. G-Force launched a missile into the Anemone, which took out all its weapon tentacles. It also punched a hole in the monster, which allowed water to rush in, flooding it. Zoltar was able to flee to safety in an escape craft. |
