EPISODE #36 – SIEGE OF THE SQUIDS

While a father and his two sons are fishing off the coast of Portugal, a series of bizarre events take place. One of the sons catches a very unusual squid and then a strange fog descends over them. In the fog, a lighthouse on shore begins to move from place to place. The father and his sons watch in horror as a ship is attacked and sunk by a school of these gigantic squid.

A red alert is sounded at Center Neptune and the G-Force is called in. The ship that was lost at sea was carrying the formula for a new chemical, Solodium, and there is some suspicion that it might have fallen into the hands of Spectra. Our heroes travel to Portugal and the small fishing village where the father and his sons live. They are told about the mysterious occurrences and examine the boy’s squid, which turns out to be a mechanical fish. The young boys, Poco and Peru, desperately want to join the G-Force and so they take Mark and the others to a secret tunnel that leads to the lighthouse.

Inside the tunnel, they uncover a secret Spectra base. The commander of the base is about to leave in his rocket carrying the Solodium formula back to Zoltar. The boys jump on board the rocket, but their heroic effort only makes things worse for the G-Force. Now they can’t attack the spaceship for fear of hurting the two kids. The Phoenix follows the rocket to its rendezvous with Zoltar. Our heroes arrive on the scene intercepting the formula and saving Poco and Peru. Zoltar puts up a fight but finally escapes in his own rocket just as his base self-destructs.
