It’s down… again…
I don’t know him myself but I just feel bad for Cep and his website at this point

Re: Art differences between series
I am a Fuerza G Guardianes del Espacio kid. But it took until I learned about Battle of the Planets that I joined the fandom. Battle is fascinating because the process under it was made was very well documented and it helped bring anime into the mainstream. It was a key import for the anime ...

Re: Art differences between series
To Neons post, I had heard about the scatter on behalf of Tatsuo Yoshida’s death— I just wasn’t sure how credible that information was so I decided not to present it. “Gatchaman is something you watch, not make” is an interesting statement honestly, I can’t imagine production in the situation they ...

Re: Art differences between series
I actually started with a couple episodes of battle but switched over when I found the original series. I also like observing the differences between the two, I did the same with Speed Racer/Mach GoGoGo and Mazinger Z/Tranzor Z . Sometimes the things they decide to change or not change in that era ...

Re: Art differences between series
While the sequel series seem to have more moments of fluidity than the first, the first series realism and outright beautiful artwork is unparalleled. And it still had the first "Sakuga" moments where each animator stood out so to speak. Or at least industry defining animation quality all around ...

Re: Art differences between series
Heh, well with 80s Jetsons, if Rosie is doing more in the plot or you see a little guy named Orbitty, they're from the 80s. The syndication prints all give title cards including Orbitty though, which confused me so much as a kid watching CN (the animation differences of course, a whole other thing ...

Re: Art differences between series
If I remember correctly, by the time II was made, Tatsunoko had switched to different cel paints or the old ones could no longer be reproduced. Some character palettes were more obviously changed up than others; Joe's hair out of Bird Style even borders on looking green sometimes (II ep.39), but ...

Art differences between series
So, I honestly only just noticed this after comparing images of the first and second series, but the color saturation difference between Science Ninja Team Gatchaman and Gatchaman II/Fighter is crazy

Re: Who is to be credited as the mastermind behind Gatchaman?
I really need to just clock my ranty ass out of this conversation before I convince this entire fandom to hate me but I really think people end up over complicating Katse by trying to apply real world logic to him.
He’s not a realistic character by any stretch of the imagination, he entirely shifts ...

Re: Who is to be credited as the mastermind behind Gatchaman?
Hi! I'm sure The Other Jason can help fill in some things here and mine might not be too great, though as for that matter with the wiki you mention...I and some others have noticed that, there have been ATTEMPTS to edit out that one rogue editor's vandalisms about Gel Sadra and Berg Katse, but he ...
