Re: Battle of the Planets Feature Film

Hi all, This news sort of fits in this section - for now. If the item in question gets developed, I'll probably make a separate entry for it later. Japanese video game company, and AGBO minority stake-holder, Nexon , recently held talks at the Nexon Developer's Conference (NDC), where their CEO Owen...

Re: People from Battle that worked on Voltron.

Hi Cure DragonEagle, Jack Paritz, the second most prolific Battle script writer, worked on both series. Helen Sosin (Jameson Brewer's wife) and Muriel Germano ( Battle writer Peter Germano's wife) both worked as "Timing Coordinators," which was essentially the same job they held on Battle - watching...

Re: Kagakuninjatai Unifive figure set

Hi Katblu! These were released in Japan on May, 2001 at a price of ¥1,980 (currently about $15.55 USD). They were not very expensive at all. Through the years, I've seen the prices on them increase and they now sell for a lot of money. Especially if you can find a set with a clear blister (many of t...

Re: BotP film "wish list" - the team

Hi Bobkat, Nice list and look at all the characters. Here are a few extra tidbits for you, mostly in the "what we know" category. Mark - Was a member of the Space Academy with his one-time friend, Tom (" The Sky is Falling! - Part I "). He may have had a brother who died (" The Awesome Armadillo ")....

Re: What did your parents think of Battle?

I want to ask people if their parents knew of their watching of Battle Of The Planets and what they thought of it. I don't recall much reaction from my parents. But that's mostly because neither of them were often around at the time Battle aired. It was on in the afternoons where I grew up, usually...

Re: Nice article on Tatsuo Yoshida

Thanks, Bobkat! Mr. Yoshida was an amazing artist and it's fun to see any coverage of his early career. I wish he could have lived to see the impact Gatchaman had around the world. Whether or not he would have approved of the heavy US editing... I don't know. But it would have been nice for him to h...
