It is LITERALLY the second coming of Cartoon Network. I love this so much and I really want to hear Other Jason's take on this. This is the best piece of animation news in a while.

It seems they share LOADS of crew members! Asei Kobayashi-san composed the openings for the Japanese versions. The dubs have Jameson Brewer and Franklin Cofod, and some more one Other Jason can help me out with!

And no, this one is not a cable channel, but rather one of those Broadcast Diginets that cater to a Nostalgic adult crowd. They made the trademark Toony TV and I think they might be looking for nostalgic stuff to air. I would love it if they aired Battle Of The Planets... or even just uncut Gatchama...

As much as I love Battle Of The Planets I am glad we only got the first series in that form. I think that the best series is the first one anyway.

Hi Cure DragonEagle, Wow this confirms something I was suspecting. Despite the major edits and changes to remove violence and other unkid friendly stuff, Battle Of The Planets is still quite the edgy show. It was made in an era that frowned on violence but it managed to get a lot to slide. Curious....

If you go by the suggested viewing order and/or the Schedule A order for Battle , its ending is more tragic. Since it's "Invasion of Space Center, Part II," Spectra scores a major win and leaves G-Force hurting. Imagine that being your last new episode. If Sandy Frank had gotten Gatchaman...
