This is a lovely and interesting topic. I think that if in 78 Winifred Triemer allowed Katse's full backstory to be adapted Mark would be sympathetic to Zoltar. He's a way more sensitive and empathic soul than Ken who is a bit harder.

In both Gatchaman and Battle Of The Planets the suits are their normal clothes transformed. Jun (and Princess) Lost one of her shoes and it transformed into the boot of her suit when she transfomed. Galactor and Spectra took advantage of this.
