Post: # 593Post Cure DragonEagle 255 »

While on my campaign to get BOTP aired on TV again someone made the comment that it really isnt a Baby Boomer show. I think it is but as I AM NOT from the USA I would love to hear your perspective on the whole thing guys.

No, Battle is a Gen X show. Gen X was born between 1965 and 1980.

I've watched MeTV and many of the shows are "Boomer" shows but not all. They aired Monk for a time and I think it's still airing. I know The Love Boat is still on the air and it didn't premiere until 1976 so it appealed to Boomers and the kids of Gen X.

They've also aired CHiPs for a time along with Emergency!. So the shows don't have to be from the 1950s or 1960s to air on MeTV. They also have current shows of Svengooglie and Collector's Corner.

Point being, the show doesn't have to a "Boomer" show to air on the network.

Baby boomer years go up to 1964, I am that last year. So I would say while it is a Gen X show, it also caught the last year or so of boomer.
It's that or I am a unicorn, LOL
