Hello! As I mentioned last time, it was the end of the Children's Courier comic stories from Italy. Today, we will begin a journey back again through France. However, it will seem some roads are very familiar! That is because for the next few weeks, the French "Album" collections will be presented. Some of these albums contained stories that were already printed in France's monthly Battle of the Planets magazine. Remember the nine issue series?

But even though some of the stories are repeats, even these will have some new content. Because the publisher created artwork to link the stories this time. Please do not be nervous, I will tell you what new items to look for in each one. Here is your link for this super size collection:

France Album No. 1

New art and texts
Story 1 - Alert! Lunar Danger - Page 02 is altered to eliminate the story title and logo.
Story 2 - The Trap - Page 18 has added two new panels of art at the top and eliminates the original story title and logo. Some text to link the stories has also been added.
Story 3 - The Mysterious Balls - Page 33 has added a new panel at the bottom, replacing the original art. Some text to link the stories has also been added. Page 34 has added a new panel of art at the top and eliminates the original story title and logo. Some text to link the stories has also been added.

Hang in there! As these albums progress, the repeat stories will give way to originals.

Week 2 of the French albums brings us another volume full of reprints. This time from issues 4 5 and 6 of France's monthly Battle of the Planets magazine. Like last time, some of the art between stories has been changed.

France Album No. 2

New art and texts
Story 1 - The Betrayal - Page 02 is altered to eliminate the story title.
Story 2 - The Black Knight - Page 18 is altered to eliminate the original story title. Some text to link the stories has also been added.
Story 3 - Robot Warning - Page 33 is altered to eliminate the original story title. Some text to link the stories has also been added.

Finally, at week 3 of French albums we are at the point with new stories! This album is completely original. It appears to be made up of 3 individual stories, but we do not know their titles. The stories in this album were drawn by a different artist from the monthly magazine series.

France Album No. 3

This is the final French album and it contains all original stories. We know the titles because story 2 was meant for issue 10 of the French monthly magazine and the others were released in different countries. All of them were supposed to have been printed in the French monthly magazine series, but it was cancelled before they ran.

France Original Album No. 5. (remember, valid link for ONE WEEK)

Story 1 - The Trap - Meant for an unknown issue of the monthly magazine series
Story 2 - The Condemned Planet Corola - Meant for issue 10 of the monthly magazine series
Story 3 - Attack of the Giant Crab - Meant for an unknown issue of the monthly magazine series

This is not only the last French album, but the very last of any French Battle of the Planets comics. Next week we will visit another nation again!

Today we go back to Italy, for what may be the final nation of our tour. But at least it will take a while.

This week's comic is Gatchaman - Battle of the Planets #1 from 21/10/1981 - The Threat of Spectra (remember, valid link for ONE WEEK)

This story is based on Battle of the Planets episode #67, Raid of the Space Octopus.

These comics came out one a week for 17 weeks. Unfortunately I only have 1 through 14. If anyone has the final 3 I would be happy to add them!
