I'm glad that I can be a part of this community and I'm Happy that a dedicated Forum for Gatchaman Turns out to exist. I really like classic Anime, and Gatchaman being one of my favorite 70's Anime. Gatchaman and some other Tatsunoko series have attached me due to their Historical Role in the Anime industry.

I'm currently into Tokusatsu, Sakuga (animation) and play some sort of games like persona 5 and Genshin Impact which I really like.


Anyway, I'm just passing through Anime enjoyer here

Hi everyone,
In the 2010s I was registered on Gatchamania under the same username. I haven't kept up with the fandom for a long time, but at the beginning of 2026 I was hit by an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. However, coming back online, I realized that many of the core resources about Gatchaman are now gone, and the fandom seems to have become decentralized . It was quite disheartening to see, but it also made me realize that I want to help revive the scene.

Some of your usernames look familiar to me. Thank you for keeping the fandom alive — it’s good to be back with you all!

Yes, many of the largest Gatchaman and Battle resources are gone or inaccessible these days. Hardly anyone maintains sites or message boards any longer. I know fans are out there. I get a lot of messages from people, but it's been rather quiet on the public front for a while.

Hi, everyone—I’ve been in and out and mostly lurking here…I’m Mad Katharine, Disturbed in NorCal. Been a fan since 1978, thank you Sacramento-area indie television station whose call name escapes me. Thank you Cal State Stanislaus Anime Club for the n’th generation VHS tapes of Gatchaman Fighter in 1993; thank you San Diego State University IT Labs for access to the rec.arts.anime Usenet Boards in 1994 which introduced me to fandom luminaries like Pat Munson Siter, Original Series fansubs and the Bird Scramble APA—all that and the creative bent it spawned is the reason why it took me an extra semester to graduate.
