Drabble written by a Tumblr friend

Post: # 1619Post Katblu42 »

A friend on Tumblr recently requested people send prompts for drabbles. The request mentioned a willingness to write for fandoms other than the ones this person normally writes for, and as I'd seen them like and reblog some Gatchaman stuff I thought I'd take a chance and send a prompt.

The result was excellent.

Hello!

A drabble request for Joe the Condor from Gatchaman with the 5 words:

feathers
trust
acceleration
aim
blue

I hope this sparks something for you!

Many thanks. :)

The Condor knew no fear as G-2 accelerated on the narrow twisting mountain road, confident in himself and his vehicle. His missions and exit from the Galactor base had gone off without a hitch, other than the current Galactor Captain screeching about roasting his tail feathers as he left. Now he just had to ditch his pursuers, and meet up with the team.

“Joe,” Ken's steady voice came through his communicator, “there's a break in the rocks up ahead...”

“I see it,” and aimed the G-2 right for it, despite knowing he would soaring off the steep side of the mountain. A few second later he was air-borne, his trust in Ryu's piloting rock solid. He caught a glimpse of blue and red and steel as G-2 was safely caught within its cradle and drawn into the Phoenix's nose cone.

One of these days I may start a thread about BOTP and fandom/fanfiction. Its a PRETTY oldie fandom, right alongside Star Wars and Star Trek!

We lost a lot of it when gatchfanfic went down. Some of us have migrated our stories to AO3. I may have lost one of my stories as well when my computer crashed. It was on gatchfanfic. But I may have it in a thumb drive.
But I'm not opposed to you starting a thread. It could be fun.
