That was really cool if massively innacurate. But then again, there are no space aliens merging twins in the womb in real life... Probably. I wish someone did Berg Katse again but GOOD and genuinely sympathetic. As bad as he was if you were intersex that was your only choice for representation.
Explain inaccurate please. I'm curious as to what you mean by that.
Also, they had written several different endings for Katse. One was closer to Gel Sadra's, which was Katse comes to their senses and works with them to defeat Sosai.
But for all of Katse's intelligence, why didn't it occur to him that if a kill switch wasn't put into the machine, how could it be stopped for him to take over the Earth? I mean he questioned Sosai about the Mantle project, why not this?
I mean, intersex people dont turn green and talk with a woman and a man's voice at the same time and grin evilly at how the god that made them was SOSAI X. Other than that, and being crassly LGBT-phobic there isnt much wrong. I wanted to say more like grossly caricatured but I softened it to "Innacuracies". And the same goes for "Turning into one gender forcibly."

Still I would love a character like Katse but a GOOD person. Like a person who is genuinely good, but does go through what Katse does, like their appearance changes and they have to change schools, but instead of ending in them dying they find people that sympathize and love them no matter what. like it would be innacurate but it could be nice to explore as to bridge old classic tropes with a more modern bent.

Yes what you said makes absolute sense. I think the green was just the animators way of showing a dramatic changing of the light as they turned around and their face is revealed. I personally would not have gone with green.
But yes, I'd have liked a better ending. Originally it was supposed to be more like Gel Sadra's ending. They come to their senses, admit Sosai is an AI that needs to be defeated and works with the team to do so.
I have an ongoing fan fiction on AO3 where I do sort of what you would like. Katse finds one person that accepts them unconditionally. If I ever get back to it, I wrote a very nice ending for them.
