I was sorry to read this. Whether many realize it or not, he's definitely another of those "without whom" individuals that international Japanese animation fandom owes a lot. It was nice to read the Variety piece on him. Thanks for making sure we saw it.

I love Robotech. I wont even try to hide it. Without it the world would lose so much. And I appreciate people that dont immediately go "HARMONY GOLD IS THE ANTI CHRIST. WE WILL NEVER SEE MACROSS UNCUT" ignoring that we are finally going to see uncut Macross stuff, almost the entire franchise in fact. And also ignoring that Without Robotech these people wouldnt even know what Macross even is.
That said, I do praise Sandy Frank for allowing a sub licensee to make an uncut Gatchaman dub and WEP for making Uncut subbed Beast King Golion releases.
