Tatsunoko Hero Insect Model Kits

The Fujimi Company of Japan teased a Berg Katse mantis plastic model kit a while ago, but did not mention there was going to be a whole line of Tatsunoko models planned to go with it... Now, coming in May are five Tatsunoko kits, two of which will be Gatchaman-related. Here is Fujimi's flyer showing the kits:

The additional kits are from the series, Casshan (Stag Beetle), Polimar (Stag Beetle) and Tekkaman (Rhinoceros Beetle). Each kit is molded in multiple colors and no paint or glue are required. They are also said to be super-posable once assembled.

The Gatchaman/Polimar and Casshan/Tekkaman kits can be pre-ordered in two packs right now from Amazon Japan. The Berg Katse kit is being sold on its own. These items will ship internationally. Here are some details, with links direct to the pre-order pages:

Yes, those are the same four main heroes from Infini-T Force. I'm with you in thinking about it. These are interesting, but I'm not sure if they're quite my 'thing' or not (Oh, who am I kidding? I'll probably get two of each - one to open and build).

If the entire team had been done as different insects it might have been an easier purchase. And if they did that, then Jinpei would *have* to have been the Rhinoceros Beetle. I mean.. it's right there!
