Gatchaman Jumbo-chan from Funko!

Hi all,

The Game Rant site has announced that Funko will be releasing a limited-edition Gatchaman figure in their new Jumbo-chan line. They're made to recall the days of the Popy Jumbo Machinder toys, but done in the Funko style.

The large 14" figure can only be purchased via entering into a lottery system, which will open from June 20 through June 24. After that, winning entries will have the option to buy one of only 1,200 Gatchaman Jumbo-chan figures at the price of $250. The figure comes in a specially designed box and will include a certificate of authenticity.

Funko is also releasing a Speed Racer Jumbo-chan figure at the same time (details are the same, but it was announced at the CBR site). You can read full details about the Gatchaman Jumbo-chan figure with additional photos at their official lottery entry page.

Wow.

I'm normally not a fan of Funko pop figures, but this one looks pretty good!

Probably too pricey for me - and with a lottery as well . . .

Definitely want to consider it.

I don't want to be the one to tell you, but I think the entries for the figures are limited to North America. You can always ask friends though.

Also, there are a couple promotional videos now up at the Funko site. One for Speed Racer and one for Gatchaman, along with additional pictures of each of the figures.

I wondered if it was region specific!
But, like I said, a little too pricey for my current bank balance anyway!
