Yes, after around $5 million he put into it to get it on the air. That looks to be about $24,697,745.57 today. Both are impressive amounts, and sound like a lot. Which they are. Although I read recently that individual episodes of the 2022 Apple TV+ streaming series Severance cost $20 million.

I dont think this means that wasnt a huge amount for Battle/Gatchaman. I think it was a huge hit. I wish other anime had so much of a crystal clear behind the scenes info, because this is awesome. I just eat it up! It's so much FUN!
