*** Battle of the Planets For the past two months, Goldorak* has had trouble with a formidable opponent: Battle of the Planets, the visitors on Wednesday. Will he win the victory as usual, or will the game be declared a draw? You decide. One thing's for sure. The fight will finish for lack of combatants. Indeed, Goldorak will finish his run at the end of the year! That is a certainty, but A2** has more than one trick up their sleeves. But we can't reveal any more until the beginning of 1980! It's top secret! But back on topic! You should really get familiar with the five young intrepid members of "Intervention Group G," or "G-Force!" MARC is the commander of the ship, "Phoenix." His character is reserved, he's a dreamer. He does not shy away from danger. THIERRY is his assistant, however he is headstrong. Marc often has to restrain him from rushing headfirst into the arms of their enemies. PRINCESSE, the only female element of the group is nice and spiritual. She has a special interest in Marc, but the security of the Earth comes first! KIPO, the boy is playful and the mascot of the group. His stuttering also accentuates his mischievous side. ALLUMETTE***, is not as his name indicates, he is an ample, affable character. He is able to fly the spacecraft with dexterity. They are equipped with weapons and special powers to fly and cause tornadoes, our five heroes are assisted in their fight against the evil aliens by their ship, "Phoenix" which has the property to "transform" into an extraordinary Firebird when there is urgent danger. The other secret weapon is named 7 ZARK 7, the nerve center of G-Force, the robot who records all the information needed for their fights. He uses a robot dog, 1 Nonos 1 and an invisible secretary, 5 SIBEL 5, who has a bewitching voice that 7 Zark 7 enjoys very much! Finally, Doctor CAVELIER, the very serious security officer, who gives operational direction to the Intervention Group and 7 Zark 7. All of this is reminiscent of "Goldorakian" adventures. Similarly, their main enemy, ZOLTAR, seeks to conquer Earth and its rich energy resources that Spectra completely lacks, by any means. Zoltar receives his orders from the governor of this planet, SPAROK, who we see only as a demon on a viewscreen. Believe me, these five struggle to defend the Earth. Sometimes they fail in their missions, but never completely! Their morale is intact! *** * - Goldorak is the French title for UFO Robo Grendizer ** - A2 (Antenne 2), a national French television channel *** - "Allumette" means "Match" in French, indicating a thin item. Opposite to the character's size, just as "Tiny" in English.
