EPISODE #22 – THE SEA DRAGON

Zark receives a red alert signal from the planet Aquatica. This planet is composed entirely of water and is the main repair station for the entire Intergalactic Defense Force. There is a report of a storm starting there… something that never happens on this planet, but it’s really Spectra’s latest weapon, the Sea Dragon, coming to the water’s surface.

The Defense Force tries to destroy this new enemy but is powerless against it and soon it has wiped out most of the Intergalactic army, and Spectra takes control of the planet. The G-Force is called in and Zark deploys a squadron of Robot Fighters from nearby Ursa Minor to take on the beast while our heroes are on the way. But the Sea Dragon proves too strong for the robots and they are destroyed as well. Finally, when the G-Force reach Aquatica and come face to face with the monster, they transmute into the Fiery Phoenix but the Dragon matches their fire with its own and they’re forced to dive into the ocean to cool off. Their plunge into the water destroys the Phoenix, but Zark manages to locate some rescue subs nearby and the G-Force is saved and sent back to Earth in a special space capsule.

When they arrive back on Earth our heroes are told that Zark also had the Phoenix shipped back and repaired… and that he has created a new weapon to deal with the Dragon – a bomb that contains a freezing vacuum. The Phoenix heads back to Aquatica and once there, Mark slips on board the Sea Dragon and plants the new bomb. It explodes before Mark is able to get back to the Phoenix and he is caught in its freezing power. Luckily, the cold temperature inside the Dragon causes a rupture in its side and Mark is thawed out in time to jump off the craft and get back onto the Phoenix before it is completely destroyed.
