New Gatchaman Comic Series from Mad Cave Studios
Re: New Gatchaman Comic Series from Mad Cave Studios
This should prove to be interesting being Sosai is an alien himself.
This Phantom Ascendency gives me Avatar feelings from the series Charmed.
Also I'm not sure how this fits into the 105 episodes universe. I'm concerned, but will keep an open mind.

Re: New Gatchaman Comic Series from Mad Cave Studios
Hi all,
A new Red Impulse mini-series is starting soon. Here is Mad Cave's information about the first issue. Due April 29th!
Red Impulse #1
Covers A (Riccardo Robaldo) and B (Colm Griffin)
Here's the story tease for Red Impulse #1:
"Captain Kentaro Washio takes Ken the Eagle on a blistering training run, but then gets a tip that Galactor is building a weaponized “attack city” designed to lure Gatchaman in and kill them all. With Doctor Nambu unaware and no time for backup, Kentaro goes in alone…and crashes straight into Berg Katse’s trap, where even the “citizens” are killer machines. Outnumbered, grounded, and fighting with nothing but grit and a sidearm, the Captain must demolish an entire city to keep his team safe…especially the son who doesn’t know their bond."
Writer - Steve Orlando, Artist - Riccardo Robaldo
Price $4.99 (retailer incentives may be priced higher).

Here we go with ep #53 again
At least, some backstory about it.
Maybe I'm the only one who finds that funny.

Re: New Gatchaman Comic Series from Mad Cave Studios
I'm still unenthused with all the extra characters but I digress.
I'm going to discuss these covers for a second (ok, maybe more).
I know what Mad Cave is trying to do - put 5 covers side by side and get a larger art piece. It's not as easy this time around because there are actual chunks missing in the artwork. A piece of Ken's arm is missing between 16 and 17. The GP doesn't line up with her vents between 17 and 18.
This is what I've noticed so far.
And in #19 - what is with the hands on Cover A!? Is this AI taking over at the worst possible time? I have accounted for Ken's hands but why in the world is Jun's hand in front of his!? This is the only explanation I have for the "third" hand in front of Ken and why is bent like that? It doesn't make any sense.
