A mysterious UFO slips by the outerplanetary watch patrol and 7-Zark-7 discovers the huge spherical craft has already landed at Center City on Earth. The ship's round shape deflects all defensive attacks harmlessly, then it lifts off and takes out the city's robot fighter plane squad before flying off.

Chief Anderson briefs G-Force and Mark decides against fighting the machine since they don’t know enough about it. But Jason is ready to take it on. Due to their stalemate, Chief Anderson says he'll leave the decision to attack or not up to the Federation. Later, 7-Zark-7 relays that G-Force are to attack.

On the Phoenix, they come across the ball as it's traveling in the ocean. Zoltar taunts them with a video transmission, daring G-Force to try to stop his machine. Jason is adamant about attacking but Mark says that just what Zoltar wants. In the end, they don't attack and G-Force returns from their mission.

Later, Princess and Keyop visit Mark to try and cheer him up. Keyop shows Mark a present he brought, consisting of an iron ball and a magnet... the toy gives Mark the spark of an idea on how to defeat the giant ball.. have the Federation build a giant magnet to pull it from the sky and trap it. The only problem is G-Force will have to lure the sphere into range of the magnet.

When they reassemble on the Phoenix and try to lure the sphere in, it veers off course, wary of a trap. Mark knows the only way to get it to the magnet is to control it from inside. So he leaps from the Phoenix and makes it into the sphere. Inside he is able to overpower the pilot and steer the machine into the magnet where both machines blow up in a fiery explosion. G-Force think Mark is still on board and they're mourning him at the site of the destruction. But within minutes Mark glides to the ground unharmed.

Later, Mark and Princess try to visit 7-Zark-7, but he has gone on a ten-second oil break leaving 1-Rover-1 to listen for red alerts. Princess admits she was worried Mark wouldn't come back when the magnet blew up. But Mark tells Princess he'll always come back, because her magnetic attraction is a lot stronger. Princess is embarrassed Mark said that in front of 1-Rover-1, but Mark says not to worry, 1-Rover-1 is G-Force and he can keep a secret!

One of Spectra's most fearsome ships, this huge, round metal ball could extend legs to walk, it could burrow underground, roll on land and extend floats to travel on water. It could also extend wings and rockets to fly. It had claw arms and a propeller, giant hammers, a "two-pronged dart," plus it could fire missiles from various points on its equator. It was made from an unknown metallic compound that left it impervious to all external explosives. It was destroyed when it was pulled from the sky by a powerful magnet. The force of its impact caused it and the magnet to explode.

Mark, like many of the other G-Force team members, meditates

Mark hints at his attraction to Princess
