Zoltar promises The Spirit that his latest plan to release a special mechanical locust on Earth will lead swarms of the insects around to destroy the planet's food supplies. Later, Professor Chambers, one of Earth’s leading entomologists tells the team he has found a strange insect in the Amazon. Keyop volunteers to return to the region with him, but once there, their small plane is besieged by a swarm of locusts. Keyop manages to crash land the plane and saves both their lives.

Zoltar is on board a giant grasshopper machine, which Spectra has been using to launch swarms of mutant locusts. He sends a swarm toward Professor Chambers’ lab to stop the man from conducting experiments on the insects he’s already captured. Keyop spreads poisonous liquid around the lab in order to stop or drive away the swarm, but they’re soon surrounded and unable to escape.

Chief Anderson sends the rest of G-Force to rescue Keyop and Professor Chambers. Meanwhile, Chambers finds out the mechanical locusts are emitting a high-frequency sound to control the real locusts. Just then, the swarm breaks through Chambers' lab and he sets fire to it to drive them away.

Zoltar arrives at the lab in the giant robot and waits for G-Force. He's sure they'll show up because he left a giant signal in the shape of the G-Force secret emblem in the forest hopeful that the team will think it's from Keyop. The team do see the signal and begin to approach the site. When they do, Zoltar releases a swarm of locusts at the Phoenix.

The Phoenix transmutes into the Fiery Phoenix to burn off the locust swarm. Keyop joins up with the rest of the team while Professor Chambers remains behind to finish his work. Zoltar releases another swarm from the giant locust robot and manages to destroy several Earth cities. Keyop remembers the frequency the mechanical locust generated, so they emit the same tone and the locusts follow the signal from the Phoenix. On the way to destroy the swarm, they pass Zoltar's King Locust robot and Jason launches a missile into it, destroying it. Zoltar and his men make it to an escape vehicle and get away safely.

The King Locust served both as a base and lab for Spectra's smaller mechanical and mutant locusts and as an attack ship that deployed them. The King Locust would launch scores of the smaller insects from its mouth. It had laboratories and areas to breed the insects in huge numbers. It was destroyed after G-Force fired a missile into it, and Zoltar and the crew abandoned it to crash.

Jason is taking courses at a Junior College to brush up on Retro-Ignition Systems and new Thermal Timing Transmissions

South America and the Amazon region still exist
