The version of Battle of the Planets released in the United Kindom was the same as its American original.

The complete eighty-five episode series was purchased by the UK's national BBC network and all were aired. The full series airing took a long time however. It premiered on the BBC on September 3, 1979 and finished on July 20, 1985. Liberal amounts of reruns were shown and the series bounced around from from weekend to daily weekday airing, never really finding a stable schedule. It took nearly the full term of the contract to air all eighty-five episodes, as the series was licensed from September, 1979 to October, 1985.
